Our 2015 Treks.....
HARRISVILE HIKE - March 2015
This was a really good day for some, not so good for others. The Hike started with a trip to the Hariisville Cemary for a cuppa and to say "Hi" to some relatives. It was nice of the council to install a toilet the day before our trip. Made us feel special. We continued out trek to Harrisville Township, although one member had some difficulty going. The Harrisville Historial Museum was brilliant, many thanks to the volunteers who opened up expecially for us. CUnfortunately the meal was a little disappointing which caused some members to miss out on the wine tasking. For those that participated at the Vinyards we had a wonderful time at both wineries. The trip was well wroth it. The Red wine was "Yummo".

Profke Paddock Pilgramage - October Long Weekend.....

THE PROFKE PADDOCK PILGRIMAGE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. LEAVING THE MILBONG RESERVE, STOPPING FOR MORNING TEA AT ROADVALE STORE, CONTINUING THROUGH TEVIOTVILLE, AND OVER TO WYRALONG. TRACTOR ENTHUSIASTS FROM BEAUDESERT WAY JOINED THE MERRY MAD CREW, EVERYONE ENJOYED THEIR CAMP OVER.
MANY THANKS TO ALL WHO ASSISTED IN THE EVENT, A SPECIAL THANKS TO HELEN WEBER FOR HER COOKING TALENTS, MURRAY AND JOANNE PROFKE AND PETER WOODFORTH FOR CATERING. ONE BEAUDESERT FRIEND WAS HEARD TO SAY EVEN WITHOUT THE FOOD, THE TRACTOR TREK WAS EXCELLENT, ANOTHER BEAUDESERT FRIEND TOLD HIM TO BE QUIET – HE LIKED THE FOOD.
A FEW MINOR INCIDENTS OCCURRED DURING THE TREK, AS PER USUAL SOLUTIONS WERE FOUND.
ALTHOUGH ONE TREKKER WAS LEFT SLIGHTLY FLAT, THANK GOODNESS FOR RESERVE TRACTORS.
TWO TREKKERS WERE ACCOSTED BY THE HIGHWAY PATROL ON THEIR JOURNEY HOME. THE POLICE WERE BAMBOOZLED BY OUR PRESIDENT’S KNOWLEDGE OF ALL TRACTOR TREKKING LAW. THEY WERE RELEASED BACK INTO THE WILD, NO ARRESTS WERE MADE. MADCTC ARE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS!
